My Offensive Dream Lineup

Every football fan has their very own Mount Rushmore for professional football icons. I am one of those people. But instead of giving you just four names, I’m going to give you 6. Now these 6 names will stick to just 4 positions, quarterback, running back(2), tight-end and wide receiver(2). Soon, I will do an edition for lineman, linebackers, special teams and defensive backs.

Quarterback- Tom Brady: What has TB12 not done in his career. 4 Super Bowl rings, 6 Super Bowl appearances and more accolades than you can count using your fingers and toes. Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. You want your quarterback to model themselves after this guy, all he does is win.

Running Back 1-Barry Sanders: Barry Sanders played his entire career for the Detroit Lions, a franchise not known for winning. In his 10 year professional career, Sanders made the Pro-Bowl in each season. Sanders rushed for over 1,000 yards every season as well, making him arguably one of the best to ever play the position.

Running Back 2-Bo Jackson: Bo Jackson is possibly the best athlete in sports history. Jackson played in both the NFL and MLB simultaneously. Bo may have only played 3 seasons in the NFL, but it begs the question would he be better if he only played one sport. I would love to test this out by having him in my line-up.

Tight-End-Rob Gronkowski- The best tight-end in the game today is the one who wears number 87 for the New England Patriots. Rob Gronkowski is nearly unstoppable, and is one of the major attributes to the Patriots success. You would be a fool not to think of Gronk as an immediate threat to any defense.

Wide Receiver 1: Tommy McDonald- Tommy McDonald played 7 seasons in Philadelphia and was a key piece to their 1960 NFL Championship winning team. McDonald is one of the greatest Eagles receivers of all time. Being the Eagles fan that I am, I could not find myself not putting McDonald in this lineup.

Wide Receiver 2:Jerry Rice: The name Jerry Rice is synonymous with catching footballs. a 3 time Super Bowl champion, Rice is the all time leader in most statistical receiving categories. Without Rice, do the 49er teams that won championships win? I think not, Rice was one of the best players that attributed to those rings.
