Impact Players in This Years Draft

We are on the final road to the NFL draft, and this years draft class has many special names on it. Whether it be at QB or CB, there are names that could make a major splash next season. Here’s a list of guys who we think could make a major impact on football next year.

20. Marcus Peter, CB Washington- Peter has been on a rocky road since being dismissed from the Huskies team last season. Peter has the talent to be picked in the top 10, but his attitude and history hurt him. Worth the risk though, a talented player who could fit anywhere.

19. Dorial Green-Beckham, WR Oklahoma- One of the top WR in the college game last year, Green-Beckham can flat out play. Hes a name to watch for, as he can become the top target wherever he lands.

18. Jaelen Strong, WR Arizona State- Another top receiving talent who showed spots of greatness while in Tempe. Inconsistent at times but electric at others. Would be a great fit in Philadelphia or Dallas.

17. Cameron Erving, O-Line Florida State- You need an offensive lineman? Give this kid a shot, the guy can play just about anywhere. Any team with line problems would be crazy not to bring in Erving.

16. Todd Gurley, RB Georgia- Suspension and injury nearly derailed the entire JR. season for Gurley. But based off his talent and potential, he is a top-tier talent in this draft. May not be the top RB but can be valued like one.

15. Eric Kendricks, LB UCLA- UCLA is becoming known as a school for linebackers. Kendricks, in my opinion could be a top 15 pick, but is valued as a mid-20’s pick. If you see him late in round 1 then don’t be surprised to see some powerhouse take him.

14. Landon Collins, Safety Alabama- A top-tier defensive back that many think will fall to a late pick. A workhorse in that hard hitting Alabama defense, that should go by pick 15. You must be crazy not to take Collins.

13. DeVante Parker, WR Louisville- Personally I’m not a fan of players from Louisville but, the way Parker plays make me second guess my opinion. Another WR that many could see in their lineup, this guy would fit great in Miami.

12. Trae Waynes, CB Michigan State- This kid could start the opening game for almost any team in the league. Value him as the top CB in the draft, this kid can flat out play. Simple as that.

11. Melvin Gordon, RB Wisconsin- Might as well call him Jamaal Charles JR, Gordon is easily the top RB in the draft. He was once valued as a top 10 pick, now has dropped significantly. Trust me this kid is easily one of the top players in the draft.

10. Randy Gregory, OLB Nebraska- This behemoth stands at 6’6, 240lbs, and is a force on the defensive side of the ball. Gregory only spent two years at Nebraska and found himself on their top-ten list of most sacks in the history of the school. He’s dangerous and he’ll go quick.

9. Andrus Peat, OT Stanford- While most see this huge (6’7, 313lbs) offensive tackle going late in the first round, I think he’ll be close to the top. Offensive lineman are being taken sooner rather than later in the past few drafts, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Peat go quick.

8. Vic Beasley, OLB Clemson- Another sack machine. Beasley has the school record at Clemson for the most sacks ever. This kid is explosive, and is quick to find the ball-carrier. He’s definitely top-10 potential.

7. Kevin White, WR West Virginia- In his senior season at WV, this speedster had almost 1,500 yards on 109 receptions. He’s big and physical, and will be a force on any NFL team looking for a good receiver.

6. Marcus Mariota, QB Oregon- Everyone is excited to see where this Oregon Duck will end up. He had a great collegiate career, and I’m interested to see how he’ll transition to the next level. Marcus is talented…I hope he finds success on whichever team decides on him.

5, Dante Fowler JR. OLB Florida- This Florida captain will be taken quick. And another OLB on the list…jeesh. Any team looking to upgrade their linebacking core should consider Fowler. He’s quick, explosive, and always looking to make a play.

4. Shane Ray DE, Missouri- Shane Ray is a great pickup for defenses lacking a good pass-rush. Ray is ranked nationally in tackles for loss and sacks so it’s no surprise we have him going top 5 in the draft.

3.Amari Cooper WR, Alabama- This former SEC player of the year, All-American, and national leader in reception will be taken quick. Amari Cooper isn’t a huge guy, but he makes up for it in his athleticism. Teams needing an extra push offensively will not regret taking Cooper.

2. Jameis Winston- QB, Florida State- Though plagued by behavioral problems, Winston cannot be denied athletically. What other quarterback can say that they won their first 26 starts? This kid is good, and most teams in need of QB will overlook any of his past issues off the field.

1. Leonard Williams DE, USC- Williams can line up anywhere on the line and unleashed his outstanding athleticism on whichever team he plays against. He’s an elite pass-rusher and quarterbacks will be seeing a lot of him if he is only single blocked. Williams is a good choice for any team needing an extra push defensively.
